Missing images
Right on the heels of deleting my Google+ account, it looks like my images uploaded to Blogger have disappeared. All of them. Neat. Blood in, blood out, apparently.
Wtf, that's serious horrorshow. Thank you for posting this, I'd recently thought about deleting my G+ account since I was only ever really interested in the video conferencing ability it afforded. All the more reason to use other image hosts.
So... closing your Google + deletes the account's linked Picasa album your blog uses. Oof. At least it didn't kill totally kill your blog! Seems like they didn't think that one through.

Thing is, the little blurb I got when I deleted said it *wouldn't* delete the Picasa album. And most of the images were still there last night. :(
ReplyDeleteGoogle+ certainly looks like a big no-go to me so far. I hope the problem can be rectified.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you should definitely at least try to mail somebody about this, see if they can restore it. Surely Google of all companies runs some backups?

ReplyDeleteG+ is being way over-hyped and has a bunch of things that are very "beta"... this is another one. :-P
